Abhishek & Vikram upcoming film ‘Raavan’ has been restricted by Mr. Vasant Kumar Patil, president of Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) to Mysore’s only 24 theatres in as against the demand of Big Cinemas to permit the movie to be released at 48 theatres.
KFCC’s president has rejected the request from the Big Cinemas and restricted the Abhishek-Aishwarya starrer movie to preserve the interest of local Kannada movies.
‘Raavanan’ is said to be a big budget movie, which is being produced in two languages Hindi and Tamil. The Big Cinemas was arguing that it should be taken as 2 different films and should be permitted to screen in more theatres.
They also said that the Tamil edition of the movie ‘Raavanan’ had not the same hero in the lead, so it could be easily taken as a different project in Hindi.
The movie is scheduled to be released on 18th June. The movie is being directed by Mani Ratnam with music composed by AR Rah man. The movie has been broadly shot in the forests of Kerala and the actors had to face snakes during the shooting in those harsh areas.
The movie might prove a milestone for Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai career. The music of the movie have already been top in audience.
